ValidiFI, a fast-paced, growing fintech company based in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in guiding the development of our products, ensuring that they meet customer needs and align with our business objectives. As a Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, marketing, and sales, to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance user experience.
What you will be working on
- Gather product requirements. Understand business goals and customer needs, translating to detailed, actionable features and user stories for development teams, and prioritizing requests.
- Create technical documentation. Draft API documentation, process flow diagrams, and other documents as needed to gather requirements and assist customers in integrating with products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Work closely between customers and internal teams across sales, marketing, data science, and development to ensure everyone is aligned throughout the product lifecycle.
- Focus on the customer. Understand and communicate customer needs and pain points, and whether proposed solutions address customer needs, advocating for the customer throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide customer support. Ensure smooth adoption of new products or processes by supporting stakeholders, addressing any issues that arise post-implementation, and providing assistance when necessary during incidents, collaborating between stakeholders and communicating status updates.
- Become the subject matter expert. Know the products, answering questions from internal teams and customers, providing demos, training, and assisting in drafting supporting materials.
- Drive product success. Support product management by owning tactical requirements for implementing products, working with technical teams to assess solution feasibility, communicating risks to project schedules, and assisting in launching products.
What you bring to the role
- 2-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, IT Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Adept at drafting technical documentation for APIs and communicating between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or related project management methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting, adapting quickly to shifts in market needs and technical capabilities.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, Postman, Insomnia, FigJam, and Miro.
- Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL is beneficial.
Where you'll work
This role is based out of our office in Alpharetta, GA. While in-office is preferred, a hybrid schedule is also offered for this role for up to two days remote per week.
